Environmental Growth Chambers' (EGC) ControlNet Software and the C5 Control System are representative of the state of the art in controlled environment control and monitoring. This graphical user interface features intuitive software, state of the art firmware, and hardware to control growth chambers and controlled environment rooms.
Foundation
The ControlNet Graphical User Interface, introduced in 1997, is solidly based on well-tested control algorithms and systems that have established over many years by EGC and researchers in government and academia. The control hardware and firmware is based on the well-known, reliable and proven EGC TC2 Microcontroller that has been used by EGC for control of growth chambers and environmental rooms for many years.
ControlNet software has been written using the National Instruments' Measurement StudioⓇ/CVI development platform and Microsoft's Visual Studio.NET. The software interface has been designed to be "user-friendly" and is based on upon the familiar pull-down menu concept used in Windows environments. ControlNet has been tested and runs properly on Microsoft WindowsⓇ 2000 and XP operating systems. It is strongly recommended that the computer running ControlNet be dedicated to this task.
